Life Surge Scam or Legit? Event Costs, Complaints and Refunds

Is Life Surge a scam? Life Surge is an identifiable event and education business, but there are serious reasons to scrutinize its sales process before paying for additional training. Recent investigative reporting and consumer complaints describe pressure to purchase expensive programs. Those allegations deserve attention; they are not, by themselves, a legal finding of fraud.

Our assessment: use substantial caution with expensive upgrades. Decide whether an event is worth its ticket price on its own. Take any course contract home, compare alternatives and obtain written cancellation terms before signing or arranging financing.

Reviewed October 3, 2026. This article reviews public policies, reporting and complaint records. We did not attend a Life Surge event, buy its courses or test the refund process.

What does Life Surge sell, and what does it cost?

Life Surge’s official FAQ describes one-day Christian events, three-day Impact Classes and continued education through SurgeU. It says additional classes are presented at events and lists ticket prices from $17 to $397, depending on location, promotion and seating.

In its response published with the September investigation, the company described $97 introductory Impact Classes and gave an example of advanced education costing about $27,000 over three years. These are the company’s examples, not a complete price list or a quote for every attendee.

Ask for the total commitment, not just the initial payment or annual equivalent. Separate tuition from software, travel, financing and any capital needed to use what is taught.

Why Life Surge is under renewed scrutiny

On September 24, 2026, Pablo Torre Finds Out published an investigation with Mother Jones reporter Kiera Butler examining allegations that celebrity appearances and faith-based messaging helped draw attendees into aggressive sales of financial training.

Life Surge’s response says enrollment is optional, rejects religious pressure and unaffordable-debt pressure, and says headline speakers are not asked to endorse its educational products. It also acknowledges third-party financing options. These are the company’s positions; they do not independently settle disputed accounts.

On September 25, Tim Tebow said he was pausing his relationship with Life Surge while his team investigated the allegations, according to reporting that included his comments. A pause does not establish that Tebow knew about or participated in alleged misconduct.

The company’s website terms say keynote speakers are paid and make no representations about the offered products or services. A familiar speaker’s presence should therefore not substitute for checking the specific course, instructor and contract.

What the BBB complaint records show

We inspected dated BBB complaints and company responses, including:

  • August 17, 2026: a consumer said a $97 class led to pitches for $20,000–$40,000 packages and disputed an advertised software offer. Life Surge offered a refund; the consumer accepted the resolution on August 19.
  • July 1, 2026: a consumer alleged a refund remained unpaid after an April cancellation. On July 10, the consumer confirmed receiving a check and accepted the resolution.

Both entries were marked resolved. These records document specific disputes and responses, not independently verified fraud victims. They also show why it would be inaccurate to say Life Surge never refunds customers. We did not calculate a deduplicated victim total across review platforms.

Life Surge refunds: identify what you purchased

The published Impact Class FAQ separates purchases as follows:

Purchase Published cancellation provisions
Event ticket Full refund with at least 14 days’ notice; within 14 days, transfer or future credit. Its post-attendance satisfaction provision describes credit.
Impact Class Refund with at least 14 days’ notice before class; separately, cancellation within seven business days of purchase.
Fulfillment purchase Seven-business-day cancellation period, with written notice mailed or delivered to SurgeU LLC, 2511 Corporate Way, Palmetto, FL 34221. Check the contract’s exact instructions.

The published wording is not fully consistent. The company’s press response describes broader satisfaction refunds, while the event provision above describes credit. Ask which promise applies to your order and save that answer. We are reporting company policies, not claiming a universal seven-day legal cancellation right.

For class requests, the FAQ lists 833-347-8743 and [email protected]. General assistance is listed on the contact page at 833-867-8743 and [email protected].

Questions to answer before buying further training

  • Deliverables: Which classes, coaching hours and materials are included? Who teaches them? How long do you retain access?
  • Total cost: What is mandatory, what is optional, and what renews? Request separate figures for tuition and other expenses.
  • Evidence: Are outcome claims based on typical students, or selected success stories? Do figures account for every expense?
  • Cancellation: When does the deadline begin, where must notice go, and is the remedy cash, credit or transfer?
  • Financing: Who is the lender, what is the total repayment amount, and how would a course cancellation affect that separate agreement?

If you feel rushed, leave with the paperwork. A useful course should still make sense when you review its syllabus, cost and alternatives outside the event atmosphere. An enthusiastic audience is not evidence of a typical student’s net financial outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Is Life Surge a scam or a legitimate company?

Life Surge is an identifiable event and education business. Serious sales-practice allegations and refund disputes warrant caution. Being a real company does not establish that a particular course is good value; allegations alone are not a legal finding of fraud.

Is Life Surge a church service?

Its own FAQ says it is not a church service. The program combines faith-related content with financial education and offers for further training. Evaluate the purchase terms separately from your opinion of a speaker or the worship experience.

Does the event ticket include advanced training?

Do not assume it does. The company describes an introductory event, Impact Classes and further education as different stages. Ask for an itemized order showing exactly which services your payment covers.

Can Life Surge guarantee that I will make money?

The company’s FAQ expressly disclaims guaranteed financial outcomes. A success story does not tell you what a typical beginner earns after course costs, software, financing and losses.

Can I get a Life Surge refund?

Eligibility depends on the purchase and applicable terms. The published policy distinguishes event tickets, Impact Classes and fulfillment purchases. Use the cancellation method and deadline in your agreement, preserve proof and request written confirmation of the amount and payment method.

Should I borrow money to buy a course?

Do not rely on projected course earnings to justify a loan. Before considering financing, have an independent adviser review the total repayment cost and your ability to pay if the training produces no income. You can leave an event without signing.

If you already paid and want to cancel

Act promptly. Identify the seller and product on your receipt, read the cancellation notice, and use the required delivery method. Keep the signed agreement, payment record, relevant advertisement and proof that your notice was sent or delivered. Request a case number and a written response.

If the response differs from the agreement, point to the exact provision and explain the remedy you seek. A factual timeline is more useful than a general accusation. Avoid posting payment details, identification documents or private correspondence containing other people’s information publicly.
